I lost weight by being a PICKY EATER!

Go On! Be Picky With Your Food

Sunny Song < sunnysong-shine.blogspot.com>

The word "picky" has a negative denotation. Being picky with whatever the object may be makes others go nuts. However, I'm encouraging everyone of you who are reading my blog to be picky with what you eat!

Yes, I know how being picky with your food is not polite, mannerly or lady-like, but this will change the way you look at food, especially your  "HEALTHY FOOD".

When I was a little girl, I didn't favor fruits, whip creams, mayo, butter nor other sweets. I only enjoyed and craved veggies ( leafy ones, especially Korean style veggie side dishes; yum!), potato fires, potato chips and just things in that savory earthy categories.

Every time I was given kid's favorite jelly donuts or Korean sweet pastries I only ate the bread and threw away the jelly or the filling. This is not because I had weird taste buds but I was being honest with myself and my body. Whenever I ate something sweet I got a headache or a bad bloating.

Unfortunately, my mom seeing me as an extraordinary picky eater who doesn't like fatty food, tried her best to persuading me to eat some. Of course she did like the fact that I didn't like sweets but she still wanted me to eat more fruits and meat. She was worried how short and skinny I was for my age. This wasn't do to my diet, it was in my blood! My mom was never over weight when she was growing up either.

Once I got old enough to notice what other kids were eating, I knew I was really different from them. Then in my highs school there was this one girl whom I really admired for her flawless skin, glam body and her natural beauty. I was dying to be like her, so we became really close and I always watched her carefully. She was a big eater ( I mean huge!) She was a petite girl, really slim but still had big boobs and a butt which I was dying to have. Anyways, she told me her body secret is in her diet. She loved whip creams and sweets with a lot of sugary filling. She devoured everything in front of her in ease. She was my girl crush and like you have guessed, I was doing the same thing.

By the end of the year, I was able to eat a half of a whole birthday cake and made my body want and crave sweets. I ate a lot of ice creams and candy. I started to bake my own to save money. I still had headaches and unpleasant symptoms but I didn't care; my taste bud was all trained for more sweets.

This was when I started to add pounds and pounds. I then started going to the gym and eating my mom's healthy Korean dishes. At first I lost a lot of weight, I went from 130lbs to 105lbs in just several months. Sadly, I got really sick from harsh weight loss and had to go through a yo-yo.
I was really devastated. My body was fatter but it was in a starvation mode. I was full of cellulite and cravings for more and more food and was in a state where it was harder to loose weight.

In recent year, after going through numerous tries of weight loss I finally succeeded. Funny thing is that I didn't have to do anything but to eat like I used to when I was little. I found out that I have a celiec disease and fructose malabsorption. This was why I didn't feel good after eating fruits and sweets as well as flour products. I wasn't being picky because I was unmannerly but I was just listening to my body.

When I continued my new diet, I lost all the weight that was lingering on in just the first month. I didn't do any exercises at all ! If any of you have similar symptoms, then don't just ignore it but please get it checked by the professionals! There are "Healthy" food that is UNHEALTHY for you !
